Steakhouse fare, walk on the beach, and piano bar!

I wanted to start the date off with a nice low lit (overall great setting and great food) steak house at Monti's La Casa Vieja down on Mill Avenue. It's a great place to have a good dinner and it's not too loud and a lot of the tables are fairly private to hold a good conversation.

Next, walk across the street into Tempe Beach Park and take a stroll along the lake or grab a bench and talk some more. There are pedal boat rentals ($12/hr) up to midnight to zip around the lake and give you something else to do/talk about.

Lastly, park the boat, and walk a couple blocks up Mill to 5th street and head downstairs into The Big Bang piano bar. Place is great to listen to fun music but it's not lame like a Karaoke bar. Can get drinks if you'd like (suggested haha) and sing along with the piano masters to songs you'll already know.
